The longer-term "background" trend for Taureans during 2017 concerns the idea of obligations and responsibilities to others. Saturn's transit through Sagittarius, your 8th solar house, shows that much of what you do this year is going to be related, directly or indirectly, to your living up to responsibilities you've taken on (or that have been thrust upon you!), and perhaps paying off or making good on obligations you've assumed.
The most obvious life-area for this trend to manifest is in your finances. You may have longer-term debts or other financial obligations which, if restructured or refinanced in some way, could free up current cash flow, or perhaps save you significant amounts of money in the long run. Check into these possibilities, particularly from April through August, as Saturn retrogrades in Sagittarius.
Non-financial obligations are also involved here, however -- promises or commitments you've made to other people, family responsibilities, etc. In each case, try to make sure that such obligations have a longer-term goal or direction that will leave you in a better place. In other words, doing all this work should be a means to a better end; and keeping your eye on that goal can help you get through the rough times.
Mars transits your Sun sign from mid-March through late April, triggering a new two-year cycle of activity in your life and giving you the feeling of a fresh start. But Venus and Mercury will both be retrograde at this time, perhaps making your "fresh start" a bit of a "false start" for a time. That is, over-enthusiasm may have you getting ahead of yourself, or jumping into new things without thinking them all the way through.
Be particularly careful of taking on new financial obligations during this period, when all of the details might not yet be clear to you. Early spring is the time to do your homework, research possibilities, and comparison shop. Then put your plans into action from May-July, as Mercury, Venus, and Mars all transit (at various times) Taurus, your Sun sign; and Gemini, your 2nd solar house. Along with Saturn's retrograde in Sagittarius during this period, these transits show an excellent time for getting finances in order and getting out from under excessive obligations.
As Jupiter turns direct in Libra, your 6th solar house, in early June, the additional indication is that work-related matters could make some significant progress as well, particularly through October. Jupiter then moves into Scorpio, your 7th solar house, beginning a year-long period of expanding relationship and partnership activities. You tend to "click" with some new people in your life, who can expand your horizons both personally and professionally; and these activities lay the groundwork for the final three months of the year.
